Remember 2019?Do you remember the what you were doing at the beginning of this past decade? 2010 seems like an eternity ago, yet not long ago. If you would have told me my love for photography would be feeding my creativity, income and passion 10 years ago I would not have believed you! It's exciting to think about the future and most rewarding to reflect on how far I've come in my photography business! So, you could say this post is for me...but I'm a sharer so go ahead and read below...my 2019 Year in Review!
Annual Review *2019* I love the end of the December. As the hustle and bustle of the holiday season comes to a sudden halt, a time for reset and goal making starts. As I reflect on 2019 and set goals for 2020 I wanted to be sure to thank all of you for your support and business this past year! Probably my biggest achievements last year was balancing my schedule between my family (3 crazy busy kids), full time career as an educator and my side hustle...and true passion, Cindi Koch Photography. This year I have learned that I can do it all...with a whole lotta support from my family and YOU, my fans! Thank you for your support! I launched my first ever CKP Senior Model Program in 2019. I was able to meet five amazing girls. I teamed up with some local small business boss babes for a fun photo shoot, the girls have gotten some pretty sweet swag throughout the year and they have received multiple shoots, including a family mini session! I’ve loved getting to know these girls! Seriously, they are some of the most All-American girls around!
I love working with seniors. They are so full of life and will do basically anything and everything I ask of them...most of the time ;) My 2019 goal was to shoot with 15 seniors, so far I’ve been able to capture 16 amazing young adults!
Stay tuned for applications for 2021 seniors coming later this winter! Juniors, I’m coming for you! You also saw many families, children, newborn sessions and one wedding! Check out the slideshow below! We were able to donate to community events and contribute to local fundraisers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
2020 GoalsI have always believed in writing down goals. It feels so good to check them off! I’ll share a few with you! Social MediaThis is a very competitive business. Social media is both a blessing and a curse (well, that’s probably a bit dramatic). I have been able to meet with new clients who were able to connect with me via social media. To be honest though...it’s super overwhelming to stay relevant in the social media world. One of my first goals is to send myself to social media boot camp! I’ll be looking for ways to schedule posts and stay connected without sacrificing intentional time with my family. SeniorsAs I have already mentioned, I have loved working with more seniors than ever this year. I’ll be updating my senior magazine, closing out my 2020 group and making plans for my 2021 senior crew. I love meeting kids from different communities. I was able to photograph seniors from seven area high schools! In 2020, I hope to expand to more communities! EducationAs a self-taught photographer, I’ve learned the reins from a LOT of practice...countless hours, online classes and most certainly my photographer friends (they are my lifelines). I have more work to do, there is ALWAYS something to learn! I’ll be continuing my quest to sharpen my skills in 2020. BalanceUgh...this is so tricky and something I’m not always great at sticking to. As my own children grow, the white space on my calendar shrinks. This year, my daughter entered her freshman year of high school,we have a son in 6th grade and a son in 2nd grade. Whoa...I always thought life would slow down as my kids got older. NOT SO, not at all! We experienced multiple schedules this year and often times my husband and I were in separate towns supporting our kids. We cherish any chance we all get to be together. In 2020, I will be finding systems to support these efforts to keep family time a priority, while being able to give my clients the best experience from the beginning!
So there you have it! Some pretty lofty goals for 2020. I hope you are able to take time to reflect and set new goals for the new year. All my best, Cindi
